Some people are passionate about sports, I'm passionate about fashion... Instead of watching the games or catching up on sport highlights, I watch runway shows and carefully examine designers' lookbooks! I've always really enjoyed resort collections (after Spring but before Fall) because designers tend to have a lot of fun with them, even though they usually lack that 'wow' factor seen during the Spring & Fall runway shows. Resort collections are 'ready to wear' and target the vacationing fashionista!
The BCBG Max Azria collection showcases detailed, wearable pieces in colors that are perfect for the resort season. The floor length dresses are clearly reminiscent of this years' "maxi" hemlines, but the designer still accomplished a light, airy feel with each piece. I would have to say that my favorite part about the collection are the sections of transparent fabric that act as a cohesive glue that pulls the collection together! These unique 'hippie-chic' dresses are absolute perfection in my book and they leave me wanting more!
