It's the day after Memorial Day, which means you can FINALLY wear white!! Hahaha, while I don’t abide by the 'no wearing white after Labor day' rule, I can’t deny that white is the go-to shade of the Summer. Personally, I can't own anything white (because as soon as I do... it gets stained or comes out of the washing machine looking more like super-pale yellow) and I thought I would eventually grow out of my 'issues' but alas that isn't the case. Now, just because I can't seem to "get white right", it doesn't mean you can't! Summer is the perfect time to wear white -mostly because you aren't as pasty as you were during the Winter- and this season... it's all about dressing head to toe in white! *Ready to Wear tip: Mix in colorful accessories. *Plus Size Tip: Try to wear as little layers as possible! *GASP* I know, that usually isn't the case with plus size dressing BUT in wearing all white you should avoid looking as bulky as possible! I would suggest an all white maxi-dress or skirt, and if needed for layering, try adding a cardigan or blazer. *Tip for EVERYONE: The Clorox BLEACH pen... will save your life--or at least your clothes anyways! Jessica Kane is a fabulous plus-size blogger and fashionista extraordinaire! She sends out such positive vibes, has a huge following, and she actually inspired me to start this blog! The world would be such a better place, if more people thought and acted the way Mrs.Kane does; beauty is all about confidence, style, and what's inside... which is exactly why, she is featured here! She is a body acceptance crusader and she looks absolutely amazing in this Old Navy, bright yellow, maxi paired with a Lane Bryant, blue blazer! The color combination, belted waist, accessories, and overall silhouette make this outfit perfect!! For more about Jessica Kane, you can check her out here! I take holiday dressing VERY seriously, hahaha... but really. No matter what's on your agenda this St. Patrick's Day, I hope you're planning on wearing green and believe me... I take pride in calling those out who don't participate in this age-old tradition! ;) St.Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays and that has everything to do with the social festivities that take place! You don't have to wear some tacky "Kiss me I'm Irish" t-shirt to play along, in fact... I challenge you to use items that you have in your closet! Why spend $300 (for 3) on these Chanel Hair Pins, when you can spend $8 and make your own?!!? Do it! |
