It's the day after Memorial Day, which means you can FINALLY wear white!! Hahaha, while I don’t abide by the 'no wearing white after Labor day' rule, I can’t deny that white is the go-to shade of the Summer.

Personally, I can't own anything white (because as soon as I do... it gets stained or comes out of the washing machine looking more like super-pale yellow) and I thought I would eventually grow out of my 'issues' but alas that isn't the case. Now, just because I can't seem to "get white right", it doesn't mean you can't! Summer is the perfect time to wear white -mostly because you aren't as pasty as you were during the Winter- and this season... it's all about dressing head to toe in white!

*Ready to Wear tip: Mix in colorful accessories.

*Plus Size Tip: Try to wear as little layers as possible! *GASP* I know, that usually isn't the case with plus size dressing BUT in wearing all white you should avoid looking as bulky as possible! I would suggest an all white maxi-dress or skirt, and if needed for layering, try adding a cardigan or blazer.

*Tip for EVERYONE: The Clorox BLEACH pen... will save your life--or at least your clothes anyways!

It's Spring and as we all know.. with Spring comes flowers and showers. Since starting my new job (and the hiking to and from the parking lot on a daily basis), I have gained a new appreciation for those who can dress 'business chic' and walk to work in the rain. Rainy day accessories are a MUST for everyone this Spring and it's up to you to avoid that 'wet rat' look! Don't get left out in the rain!

I've admired 'galaxy' inspired fashion for quite some time and as of yet, the print hasn't been mass-produced. With that being said... I've always wanted something 'galaxy'esque and I stumbled upon this amazing DIY guide from Studs and Pearls !! Soooo, I thought I would share it with you all!
Supplies Needed:
- Bag (or item) of your choice (leather/pleather/vinyl will work best)
- Clear gloss glazelike DecoArt's Triple Thick Gloss Glaze
- Ultra fine glitter, choose your colors
- Foam paintbrush
- Small plastic cups, one for each color of glitter
-Old newspaper/magazine pages to cover your work surface
-Popsicle sticks or old paintbrushes/pens/etc. to mix glitter and glaze
Step 1:
Pour some glaze into a plastic cup.
Start off with a fairly small amount, because glitter is a lot more concentrated than it may seem.  You can always add more later.
Add the glitter to the glaze and mix thoroughly.
Step 2:
Using the foam paintbrush, start applying the glaze to your bag. Try not to overdo it - a little glaze will go a long way. Repeat Step #1 for the next color.

Tip: Don't change or wash your foam paintbrush in between colors...you WANT the differenet colors of glitter to blend! It'll look more like a galaxy this way.
Another tip: Make sure your brush strokes are all going in one general direction.
Step 3:
Continue with each new color. Again, don't be afraid to blend and mix.
It'd be a weird looking galaxy if the colors were perfectly separated from each other.
 You can't mess this up!

Step 5:
While the glaze is still wet, try swirling around the colors to create a more galaxy-like look.

& Let it dry over night!!
Did you have any left over glaze & glitter??
Try the same steps on an old pair of heels!

Flowers are perfect for Spring!!
Oh I know, I know... Florals + Spring? ORIGINAL
But...
You can make it original and make it 'you' by simply inserting a floral piece of clothing or a flowery accessory into one of your favorite outfits!

This season’s designers took a dive into the deep blue and came up with pearlized shell clutches at Chanel, coral embellishments at Alexander McQueen, and shark-tooth necklaces at Givenchy.

Designers used hummingbirds, swans, and pheasants in their bold creations this season—from abstract, graceful lines to three-dimensional birds perched on the chest and shoulders.

Oh, I love PS I Made This!! Look at this fab-u-lous DIY featherFRINGE skirt!!

Fringe is making a comeback and in a big way... I just love how it moves with your body and how versatile it can be! I mean...  it amazes me that in the same thought, I'm reminded of the roaring 20's and native American culture! Fringe looks fabulous on a t-shirt and it makes such a statement when worn on a cocktail dress!

It's is one of those things that you can buy and sew onto a piece of clothing/accessory for little to nothing and the madeover product will look phenom!! Try it out! xo-A brunette
